Professional Peer Supervision Program

In Texas, part of the certification process for any peer specialists is the completion of 250 hours of volunteer or paid work experience supervised by a credentialed Peer Specialist Supervisor. Supervision consists of providing feedback and guidance on your peer support work that may raise questions or concerns as you work in the field, as well as an opportunity to reflect on how your own biases and gaps in knowledge can impact the quality and direction of your work. The experience should have you question your tactics in handling crises, worldviews, and many other things.
